How You Can Help
Help Keep Our Boys On The Right Track
Become a BOTRT Site
The BOTRT program is typically provided at schools, but can be at any community site that is able to provide a safe space for running. No track is necessary, a field or even an empty parking lot will work. An indoor space for uncooperative weather days is preferred. We are based in WNY, but are spreading to sites throughout the country. Please contact us for more details - we'd love to expand to a site near you!
Coach for Us
We are always recruiting coaches for our Spring and Fall sessions, both in WNY and beyond. Not a runner? Not a problem! All you need is a passion for helping boys succeed. Time commitment: 2 days a week for 9 weeks (your choice of times and day) and race day.
Become a running buddy
All boys complete the 5k at the end of the program with a running buddy. This person must be at least 18 years of age and will encourage and support that boy throughout the race. Time commitment: a few hours on race day.

BOTRT has proven to be successful in promoting emotionally and physically healthy behaviors including improved confidence, healthy lifestyle choices, as well as increased problem solving and coping skills. We hope to improve our communities and bring a decline to the rise of drug use and suicide in boys. Your sponsorship of this program is critical in order to reach those boys and ensure that BOTRT is accessible to all boys in your area who wish to participate.
Every donation helps! 30% of our boys pay little to nothing at all. Donations of every amount help us bring this program to more boys who can not afford it. We have never turned anyone away for inability to pay. We are recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, our Tax ID is 46-4682661. Without your monetary donations - we would cease to exist.
